AR Rehman launches CWG 2010 theme song |

The Commonwealth Games CWG came to India for the first time. The words ‘Jiyo, Utho, Badho, Jeetho’ remind you not to give up. It fills you with energy and vigor; and motivates you to come first and be the victor. It is really a hot touching song that will get attracted by the audience very soon. It is also compared to Shakira’s “Waka Waka” that is very obvious for Oscar winning AR Rahaman. A R Rahman performed at the launch of the song and said -“I wrote the first line six months ago and kept tweaking it till I finally finished it last night (Friday). It is definitely an honour to compose the official theme song which is in the spirit of the Commonwealth Games.” Suresh Kalamadi, the Chairman of Organising Committee of Commonwealth Games said that the launch of Commonwealth Games Theme Song as a great beginning and he also expressed that the Commonwealth Games 2010 will become a huge success. Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said that the city will hold the best ever Games. “The Games which have come to India for the first time are going to be the most memorable Commonwealth Games ever held. We are confident that Delhi, with India behind it, will be able to achieve what many people believe may not be possible,” she said after the launch of the theme song.
